1959 Invitation to the Presentation of the 16LH Regt Guidon

1959 Lt Colonel William Salmon DCM MM VIP invitation to the Presentation of the 16th Light Horse Regiment’s Guidon by HRH Princess Alexandra on 12 Sept 1959.  Also an invitation for Lt Col & Mrs W Salmon at Home, Beersheba Training Depot after the Presentation of the Guidon plus original Hunter River Lancer’s envelope.  There is also a request for an Old Comrades Guard to be inspected by the Princess after the Presentation.  Included is a 1952 RSL NSW Branch pocket diary belonging to William Salmon.  Please refer to the photos.  113 William Salmon enlisted in the AIF 26 Sept 1914 and embarked for overseas with 7th Light Horse Regiment on 20 Dec 1914.  Sgt Salmon was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal and the Military Medal for conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty.
